I would like to import a shape from a DXF file and be able to use it as my sheet size / shape. instead of a normal rectangle shaped sheet.
for example. - import a circle as the sheet shape or a Misc. squiggly shape (see attached image).
my current work around is to import the shape in as a part, manual nest my actual parts inside the shape, then delete the shape.
Thanks.

Yes, Scott was telling me about this. The nesting engine currently supports this but it's not exposed yet. I'll have this ready for you in the next release with instructions about how to use it! Thanks
I have this built and I’m testing it now. I’m also adding a feature that will make custom plate shapes especially handy: in GcodePilot, you’ll be able to capture torch/DRO positions and create a custom plate shape directly from those points. That means you can measure the actual already-cut sheet or remnant you’re nesting on, rather than drawing it separately using a tape or sort of free-balling it.
That sounds perfect.
Thanks Travis.
You're welcome! Let me know what you think of it, it's all in the latest update. Feel free to come back with any bugs you find or anything you would like to have that I didn't think of.
