Free / Hobby Use

Download JetCad3 with no account, no login, and no credit card. The Design workspace is fully unlocked for hobby use—vector drawing, imports, image trace, layer-based layout, and typography without caps. Drafting and CAM features remain available on the same install with sensible free limits enforced locally; upgrade when you need full parametric CAD or posting without those caps.

  • Design workspace — unlimited 2D vector layout with no sign-in (DXF/SVG import, raster trace, layers, typography)
  • Full 2D Drafting sketcher with DXF/SVG import & export (free tier limits apply inside the app)
  • Parametric geometry generator (gears, sprockets, pulleys, splines)
  • Export 3D bodies for 3D printing (within free-tier limits)
  • Multiple 3D Components
  • Export Plasma Nests as DXF
  • Post G-code files over 500 lines

Free-tier limits apply to Drafting and CAM in the installed app—not to the Design workspace. For full paid-tier CAD/CAM without those caps, start a paid plan's 30-day trial when you're ready.

Straight answers.

The questions machinists actually ask.

Can I use JetCad3 without an account?

Yes. Download the desktop app and use it locally without signing in. The Design workspace is unlimited for hobby use with no account. Other workspaces (Drafting and CAM) include sensible free limits enforced in the app—see the Free card on this page. That is separate from the 30-day trial, which unlocks full paid-tier features and requires a credit card to start.

Is there a free trial?

Yes — 30 days, full-featured. A credit card is required to activate the trial (to prevent abuse). You are not charged until the trial period ends; if you cancel before then, you will not be charged.

How does licensing work?

You can activate and stay licensed in two ways: sign in from the JetCad3 desktop app when you have internet, or use an offline license key on an air-gapped machine. For offline use, paste your long license key manually, or save the key file to a portable drive (for example USB) and select it from the desktop app—no sign-in required on that machine once the key is in place.

What happens to my files if I cancel?

Nothing changes for files you already saved. JetCad3 keeps your work on your machine; it is not stored in our cloud. Your documents remain yours regardless of subscription status.

When is CAM coming?

Plasma and laser CAM are available today in the Drafting + Plasma & Laser tier. Router, mill, and lathe/turning CAM are not released yet—they are in active development for the Full CAM tier. Existing subscribers will be notified as each workspace ships and will get a discounted upgrade path where it applies.

Does JetCad3 need an internet connection to run?

Day-to-day CAD/CAM work does not require internet. If you are online, you can sign in from the desktop app to activate or refresh licensing. If you are air-gapped, use an offline license key instead (paste the key or select a key file from removable media). JetCad3 does not sync your part files to the cloud or phone home with your geometry.

Does the Windows .exe require admin rights or an installer?

Neither. It's a single self-contained executable. Put it anywhere — a USB drive, your desktop, a network share — and double-click. No installer, no admin prompt, no IT department involved.

Can I use JetCad3 on multiple machines?

Yes. Your subscription covers all machines you personally use. Activate each install by signing in online or with an offline license key, as on your first machine. If you need to move to a new machine, deactivate the old one from your account dashboard.

Ready to stop fighting your CAD tool?

30-day free trial. Works on every machine in your shop.
