Small shop in southwestern Ontario, self-built plasma table. No budget for the big software names so I used SheetCAM for my table from the start. Always open for alternatives, I tried various options that came up on plasma cutting and CNC forums but never got excited about any of them. JetCAD3 is the first piece of software I've tried that was good enough to convince me to switch. I've almost completely switched over for plasma table CAM software. I love the bump stop nesting feature -- one that I asked for and the developer added per my request. Bug reports have been addressed quickly and satisfactorily. There are still times when I can nest odd shaped parts by hand much more efficiently than the auto nester, but this will probably keep improving.
I have a 3-axis mill powered by LinuxCNC in the shop also and I intend to see how it goes to generate code for that machine using the Mill workspace.
