Description

What this is

A Pre-Paid License for the Plasma, Oxyfuel and Laser CAM teir, bought outright

for a fixed term on one computer. You pay once, up front — no

card kept on file, nothing to renew and nothing to cancel. When the term ends, it ends. If you enjoyed what JC3 had to offer, you can purchase another pre-paid license or switch to any of the other licensing options.

This is the plan for a cutting table. It is the middle option between a monthly

subscription and the Lifetime Unlimited hardware key: pay once, own a known number

of years. The longer the term, the less each year costs.

What you get

Everything in Drafting — full 2D/3D parametric CAD, eCAD schematic capture with

live circuit simulation, the parametric geometry generator, STEP/STL/3MF export —

plus the jet-cutting CAM suite:

  • Plasma, oxyfuel and laser toolpaths with arc-preserved G-code (real G2/G3, never linearized)

  • Kerf compensation, lead-in/out, pierce delay

  • Factory cut charts — Hypertherm, Thermacut and Victor oxyfuel tips

  • Oxyfuel preheat, pierce and creep lead-in driven by the tip chart

  • Plasma contour rules — skip, spot pierce, feed/THC/lead overrides by geometry

  • Auto-nesting for sheet material, with cut simulation and a live DRO

  • SheetCAM job file import — open existing SheetCAM .jobs file in the Plasma, OxyFuel, or Laser Workspaces

  • Post-processor converters for SheetCAM and Fusion 360 posts. Need help provisioning a post processor from another CAM system? post it on the community forum and our staff will produce one for you!

  • GcodePilot machine control, free on every tier including this one

  • Windows, macOS and Linux — Don't forget about JC3 Appliance which is our solution for dedicated Machine controls. JC3 becomes the OS

  • Every update released during your term, at no extra cost

Router, Mill and Turn are not part of this plan — those live on Drafting + Full CAM.

How it works

  1. Get your machine code. Open JetCad3 on the computer that will run the

license. It's on the Offline Key sign-in tab, and under Pre-Paid License in the

profile menu once you're signed in. It looks like J5FQG4O5-JZTIGEIZ-VGCT2MDU-RRMQ.

  2. Enter it at checkout. The license is minted against that specific computer.

  3. Download the license file from your order under Licenses on your jetcad.io

dashboard, and import it in the app: profile menu → Pre-Paid License → Import

License File. That's the moment the term starts.

After that the computer is licensed — no sign-in, no connection, no phone-home. That

is true of every way to license JetCad3, not just this one: a subscription can hand

you an offline key to carry over on a thumb drive, and the Lifetime Unlimited key is

hardware you plug in. Running without an internet connection has been a priority here

from the start, which is more than most CAD/CAM packages on the market can say.

Things worth knowing before you buy

  • The term runs on the calendar, not on hours used. A one-year license bought

today runs for one year from the day you activate it, whether you cut every day

or the table sits idle for a month. It is not a bank of hours.

  • One license, one computer. The license is bound to the machine code you

enter at checkout. If that computer dies or you replace it, rebind the license

to the new one from your order under Licenses on your dashboard — you do not

need to buy again. Licensing the office machine and the table means one license each.

  • Activate within a year of purchase. A license sits on the shelf for up to

365 days before it must be activated. The term itself starts at activation, not

at purchase, so buying early costs you nothing.

  • You can stack terms. Buy another license of this plan while one is running

and the new term picks up the day the current one ends — no overlap, nothing wasted.

  • Signing in is optional. A jetcad.io account is not required to use this

license. If you do sign in, you keep the community forum and your account stays

yours; whichever plan is higher — your account's or the license's — is the one

in force, so a subscription is never downgraded by a license.

  • When the term ends, JetCad3 keeps running on the Free / Hobby tier. Nothing

is deleted and no file becomes unreadable — your parts and toolpaths are

standard formats saved on your own disk and stay yours regardless.

  • Machine code binding is what lets it stand on its own. Nothing checks in with

a server, so the license has to be tied to the hardware instead. Keep the license

file; it is how you re-import after an OS reinstall.
