Transforms & HUD
At a glance
- Shared transform HUD with Plasma for mirror toggles, numeric moves, and rotations on selected parts
- Locks and collision cues keep sheet preparation predictable before you generate toolpaths
Select any part and the transform HUD appears — the same module Laser shares with Plasma, so
placement works identically across CAM workspaces. It shows X and Y position fields, a rotation
field, and Mir X / Mir Y mirror checkboxes, and every numeric field accepts expressions in
your preferred units: type 12mm, 1/2, or 3+0.125 and it evaluates.
Single part vs selection
With one part selected, X/Y and rotation are absolute — type the exact coordinates and angle you want and the part lands there. With multiple parts selected, X/Y shows the center of the selection's bounding box and moves the whole group together, while the rotation field switches to a delta (labelled Δ°) applied to the selection. The mirror checkboxes reflect whether every selected part is mirrored, and toggling them applies to all of them at once.
Locks and collision cues
The HUD only operates on unlocked parts — locked parts render in the standard locked colors and ignore edits, which keeps a finished layout safe while you tweak stragglers. Manually placing a part clears its nested status, and parts left colliding or off the sheet render red and get auto-selected when you generate toolpaths, so placement mistakes surface immediately. Pair the HUD's exact numbers with bump-stop dragging for coarse placement and you can lay out a sheet quickly without sacrificing precision.
