A manufacturing profile supplies conservative baseline limits to placement, routing, copper fill, DRC and fabrication preflight. Choose the intended fabricator before final routing so every stage uses the same effective rules.

All three profiles support plated through vias. Blind, buried and microvias remain outside the current rigid-board envelope.
Effective rules
Board, net-class, net and object rules can make the baseline stricter or set a supported explicit override. The resolved rule and its source remain visible. A profile change makes prior placement candidates, routes, fills, DRC reports and fabrication candidates stale.
Manufacturer capabilities change. Check the recorded source and review date before ordering, then apply a stricter project rule when the selected material, copper weight, assembly process or order option requires it.
