Plate Squaring
At a glance
- Virtual tramming: jog to two corners of the sheet and the program rotates to match its skew

A plate never wants to pivot exactly at a corner, so squaring a sheet by hand is slow. Plate Squaring replaces physical tramming with a virtual rotation: measure the sheet's actual skew with two jogged points, and the program rotates to match the sheet instead of you moving the sheet.
Operator flow
- Load the program and jog the torch to a physical sheet corner — this becomes the work origin.
- Click Plate Squaring. The corner is captured and a prompt asks for the far corner.
- Jog along one sheet edge (a foot or more gives an accurate reading) and click the button again.
- A dialog shows the computed angle, the axis being squared to, and the edge length. Confirm.
The preview rotates and pins to the first corner — run as normal and the cut lands square on the skewed sheet. Click the button again to clear the rotation; it also clears automatically when a new program loads or the machine disconnects.
