The Plasma workspace is a top-down view of your table: the machine bed is drawn from the active machine profile with a reference grid every 12" (300 mm in metric), and the sheet sits on it sized by the stock dimensions in the sidebar. The Sheet section sets material, thickness (pulled from your cut charts), width, height, and the origin corner that maps to sheet-coordinate zero.
Sheets and loose parts
Jobs can span multiple sheets. The active sheet always sits on the machine bed — posting and simulation are relative to its origin — while other sheets line up beside it, dimmed but still editable. Parts not assigned to any sheet are loose: they live in the staging strip to the right of all sheets after import or Rip Up Nest. Drag a loose part onto a sheet to assign it, drag a part off the sheet to free it again, or use Move to Sheet in the Parts browser.
Selecting and moving
Click selects a part, Shift+click toggles it in the selection. Drag on empty space box-selects:
left-to-right is a window (parts fully enclosed), right-to-left is a crossing (anything touched),
and holding Shift adds to the current selection. Dragging a selected part moves the whole
selection; with Bump Stop on, dragged parts stop at each other's kerf shells and slide along
edges instead of overlapping. A single selected part shows a rotation handle for free rotation —
or use Shift+wheel, the < / > keys for 5° nudges, or right-click → Rotate… for exact
incremental or absolute angles (expressions like 90 + 30 work). The transform HUD gives direct
X/Y/angle/mirror entry, and locked parts refuse to move at all.
Right-click menus
The part menu covers Lock/Unlock and Place/Unplace for the selection, Rotate 90° CW/CCW, Duplicate, Multiple Duplicate…, Grid Array…, Scale…, Simplify…, Common Grid…, Fill Sheet, Delete, and Properties. Right-clicking a single contour goes deeper: per-contour lead override, Tabs…, feedrate and pierce-delay overrides, Rev Cut Direction, Reset Overrides, and Delete Contour — so one stubborn hole can get its own treatment without touching the rest of the part.
