A JC3 Appliance puts its network controls inside JetCad3, because JetCad3 is the computer. The first connection should be quick: choose the network, enter its password when asked, and carry on with setup.
During installation
Open Network from the installer and select a Wi-Fi network. Open networks join directly; secured networks ask for the password before connecting. A saved network reconnects without asking again. Join hidden network and the Enterprise option remain available for shops that need them.
The installer intentionally has no DHCP/manual selector and no Apply button. Normal networks use automatic addressing, so connecting to the network is the complete setup step.
After installation
The installed appliance's Network dialog keeps the full controls for Wi-Fi and wired connections:
- Automatic (DHCP) is the normal choice for a shop router.
- Manual is for a fixed address. Enter the address with its prefix, for example
192.168.1.42/24, then the gateway and any DNS servers your network requires.
Press Apply after changing the setting. If the saved profile already matches, JetCad3 leaves the connection alone. If you made a real change, it updates the profile and reconnects it once. The controls stay disabled until that finishes, so an accidental second click cannot disrupt the connection.
