Display & UI Scale

At a glance

  • Scale the entire interface 50%–150% — laptop screens, 4K monitors, or a shop display across the table
  • Hardware-acceleration toggle: a one-click fix for a black or garbled viewport from a flaky GPU driver
  • Smooth-scrolling and force-sRGB toggles for snappier scrolling and consistent color
  • Restart-needed settings are badged, with a restart now / later prompt when you save

Settings → Appearance → Display scales the whole app together — panels, toolbars, dialogs, and the 3D views — from 50% to 150%. Leaving it at 100% keeps your display's native Retina/HiDPI sharpness untouched; the override only kicks in when you move the slider.

Three power-user toggles live alongside it: hardware acceleration off (the fix for a black or garbled viewport from a flaky GPU driver), smooth scrolling off for immediate scroll response, and force sRGB for consistent color on wide-gamut displays. These take effect on restart, so each is tagged with a "Restart needed" badge and saving offers to restart now or later.
