The community forum is built right into JetCad3 — the whole forum, not a viewer. If you're signed in with a jetcad.io account, click your profile picture and choose Community to open a native, themed view of the same forum you'd find at jetcad.io/community — no website, no nav bar, just the discussion.
Browse, search, and follow
The forum opens to the full list of issues with vote and reply counts. Search by keyword, switch status tabs (All, Open, In Progress, Closed), narrow by category pills, and sort by activity or votes — pinned posts stay on top, and every row shows the author, workspace, and a follow bell. Open an issue to read the whole discussion, upvote it to show support, and subscribe with the bell to follow along.
Write like you mean it
Replies and new issues use a rich editor with formatting tools — headings, lists, quotes, code blocks, links — plus Write / Preview tabs and an expand mode for longer posts. Paste or drop a screenshot or video directly into your text and it uploads and appears inline, exactly like on the website. You can also attach files (up to five on an issue, three on a reply); attached images show as thumbnails, and videos play inline.
Attachments stay in the app
Attachments never send you out to a web browser. Click a project file (.jc3) and it opens in
a new tab, so whatever you're working on stays put. Click any other file — a PDF, a DXF, a zip —
and it downloads to your Downloads folder, with a little toast you can click to reveal it in
Finder or Explorer.
Want more control? Right-click any attachment for a menu: Download to Downloads, Save As… (which opens the JetCad3 file picker so you choose the folder — including a connected cloud drive), and Copy link. Images add Copy image, dropping the picture straight onto your clipboard to paste elsewhere; project files add Open in new tab.
The photo viewer
Click a photo — whether it's an attachment or an image inside a post — to open it in a full-window viewer. Scroll to zoom (it zooms toward your cursor), drag to pan, rotate in 90° steps, and snap to fit-to-screen or actual size with a click (double-click the photo to toggle between them). When a post has more than one image, arrow keys or on-screen arrows step through the whole set, and the viewer's toolbar has Download, Save As, Copy image, and Copy link right where you need them. Press Esc or click the backdrop to close.
Edit your own posts
Made a typo, or want to add detail after the fact? Edit your own issues and replies right in the app — edits carry a small "edited" marker, and you can add or remove attachments while editing.
File issues and meet members
Hit Submit Issue to file a bug report or feature request: pick a workspace and category, write it up with screenshots inline, and submit — it lands in the same community everyone else sees. Click any member's avatar to see who they are and send a one-time introduction.
Reply notifications
When a thread you're subscribed to gets a new reply, JetCad3 lets you know while you're working: a notification bell in the tab bar lights up with an unread count, and a themed notification slides in the moment a reply arrives. You're only notified about the issues you follow — the same ones that email you — and never about your own replies.
Click the bell to open the notification center — a themed dropdown matching your app theme. It lists your recent replies with the poster, the thread, and how long ago; click any one to jump straight to that issue. Mark all read clears the unread badge while keeping the list, hovering a notification reveals an × to dismiss just that one, and Clear all empties the list — nothing you dismiss or clear comes back. It only ever shows a handful at a time, with a "+N earlier" link that opens the full list in the forum, so the menu never turns into a scrollbar.
Your profile picture menu — Settings, Machines, Learn, Community, Sign Out, and the rest — is a themed dropdown too, so both tab-bar menus match whatever look you've picked instead of showing a plain system menu.
Who can use it
The in-app forum is available to members signed in with a jetcad.io account. However you use JetCad3, the forum is always available in any browser at jetcad.io/community.
